A long, long time ago, in a time when fewer Wall Street Executives were getting caught ripping off investors and fewer cabinet appointees were revealing their failure to pay income taxes, I tried a little experiment with one of Jonathan Coulton‘s masterpieces “Code Monkey.” There had been a discussion at his blog about musiciany things, and I wanted to see if it was possible to add anything to what he’d done, though my position at the time was that everything he does is fully and perfectly baked. (He’s very generous as policy with his stuff and encourages people to make new creations from it.) So, much to my surprise, I found a few holes into which went a lead guitar track. Here is is. At least I think it’s the right mix.
If Coulton and Paul and Storm come to your town, my advice is: GO! We loved the show we saw, even though it was SRO. And as long as I’m making recommendations, if you’re standing for hours, try a pair of Merrell shoes. My wife was in the shoe store the other day and someone told her journalists insist on these because they’re so comfortable for long periods of being on your feet. I just bought a pair and it’s a religious experience for my feet, especially coming from my discount brands.
