Is there a red star warehouse?

Graphic design played a huge role in Obama’s campaign, as we all know. Simple designs repeated endlessly were the norm and still are because advertising has taught us to internalize “brands” via cool-logo shorthand. But in politics, there is no such thing as art for art’s sake. So when I went to Pelosi’s website I was surprised to find the red star symbol. No I wasn’t. And I’m pretty sure Pelosi isn’t sponsored by Macy’s or Heineken?

Here’s some background on the red star symbol
.
I suggest a twitter hashtag for monitoring red star appearances in the apparent visual campaign. #rstars or something.
And now some visuals.
