Our son is having his 20th birthday, a day after learning he’s broken a bone in his knee and probably shredded an ACL and two days before he can get an MRI. In the meantime he’s mostly sitting and aching in a big brace on an otherwise gorgeous day.
So we made a made video for him. It calls for a little background. When he was quite young he came home form school with a drawing he made of his face. He captioned it: “This is me and my head.”
It always cracked us up that he made the distinction between himself and his head, though there is a kind of logic to it. We saved the pic, of course. In fact, we made a magnet of it which has been on the fridge ever since.
So we took that drawing (actually a photo of the ridge magnet) and added a stick figure drawn by the Wife Unit to send for his birthday. I thought the bathroom echo added a little something.
