Vinyl I played flat. Hangman’s knee, Jeff Beck & Co.

I’ve been listening to tunes I enjoyed in early adolescence, and I find it amazing how the brain remembers music. Now admittedly I listened to this one not just for enjoyment but because I was lifting licks, but still, how odd that after all these years I can predict many of the phrases before they happen. Compare that to say, memories of the Carter administration, of which I remember only tumbleweeds and the sound of a lonely wind. Then again, the song is something I want to remember.
