About Fred Tunes
Welcome to Fred Tunes. Here you’ll find tracks for use in your videos, flash projects, and broadcast production efforts, currently priced in accordance with the National I’m-Losing-My-Ass Index. You will also find my songs for sale. (That’s right, they’re NOT SOLD IN ITUNES nor SEEN ON TV!) You can also find many of the songs free to download in the sidebar (the songs, not the production tracks.)
In creating these tracks I dance to decades of experience to offer something beyond standard needledrop. Some pieces are built with mood shifts to accommodate more story-based copy, while others bring a unique context for the message, be it emotional appeal, fun and quirky, contented or thematic. Just because it’s library music doesn’t mean it has to sound canned or cheesy — not that there’s anything wrong with that.
About the licenses
Licenses are available in six-month and one-year increments, either regional or national, terms which only apply to broadcast use. Regional means the result will run in no more than two of the major markets, such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta. You can find lists of major markets here.
If you wish to use tracks for charity, please contact via the contact page.
The license entitles you to use tracks for one project or client, though you are prohibited from reselling them.
About Fred
My name is Fred Leo and this is my shop and blog. My background covers journalism, PR and advertising, including a decade at McCann-Erickson and far more enjoyable time as a partner with friends in a radio production outfit. (I’ve written everything from national television to proximity triggered audio chips that speak to executives at the urinal.) Sometimes I have a sense of humor, though it’s been a tad strained lately.
Here’s my radio work, some produced and some that should have been.
In addition to the tracks for license here, I am available for voiceover work, custom tracks, postscoring, and special projects, including naming and brand identity. Simply ask. If I don’t think I’m right for the job, I might be able to suggest someone who is.
Some of the blog items you see here originally appeared on my other blog, which has now been archived because it became too unwieldy. Sadly, the comments did not survive the transition.
I’m here, everysandwich, on twitter. I’m trying to transition the more business-related items to @fredtunes.
